A reported armed robbery attempt at an Orland Park, Illinois gas station took a dramatic turn when the intended victim turned out to be a licensed concealed carry holder.According to police, the incident happened Tuesday morning at a Shell gas station in the 15100 block of Harlem Avenue. A customer was pumping gas when a masked suspect allegedly approached him and pointed what appeared to be a firearm in an attempted robbery.The customer, who police said possessed a valid Illinois Concealed Carry License (CCL), pulled his own firearm and opened fire, striking the suspect.The wounded suspect reportedly managed to get back on his feet and flee the scene. Police later located and apprehended him, and he was transported to a hospital for treatment.The armed customer remained at the gas station and cooperated with investigators.
